Being in Paris means visiting one of the great pastry shop the beautiful has to offer and le Café Pouchkine is definitely one of them. A jaw-dropping just looking at these yummy treats!
While in Paris, we decided to indulge ourselves with some sinful pastrie at Café located in St Germain des Près. It was quiet full and the salon isn´t big so my suggestion is to avoid after work or weekends if you don´t want to wait too long for a table.
The pastries are fanciful and gorgeous, eye catching and tasty looking, making it hard to decide on just which one you want.
Café Pouchkine is a patisserie originally from Russia. That is why Damien Piscioneri and his team use Russian ingredients in uptakes on classic French pastries. You’ll find cakes made with buckwheat flour and kvas, which figures into Paris Moscou, a caramel cake spiked with the fermented rye liqueur, rolled-up morning pastries wound up with wild blueberry swirls, and cheesecake made with Russian fromage blanc.
