When a New Yorker and a Parisian meet the result is a great love story and a concept store located in the former abode of chic 18th century courtesan Madame de Pompadour in Paris and humbly named Paulie and me.
The first thing you feel when you enter the store chez Paulie and me is a pure energy of love and passion, not just between the owners Paulie and Lili Chambel. But the beautifully-designed wares radiates from every corner of this bright, environmental friendly boutique and in every item hand-picked with affection.
I was lucky to come by when it was quiet and had Lili and Paulie to show me around and tell me about each designer they have selectively chosen to be represented in their boutique. A great scene for up-and-coming fashion designers and jewellers.
From hand-crafted jewelry, vintage shoes, recycled furnitures, clothing made in France, to hats, bags and cashmere scarves. Everything has a soul, a sensitivity with a true DNA.
Paulie and me is all about authenticity, uniqueness and a beautiful motto inspired by the philosopher Lavoisier ” Rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée, tout se transforme” meaning ” nothing gets lost, nothing gets found, everything gets transformed”.
Paulie and Lili are passionate about ecology and recycling and as you can see on the pictures, every price tag are written on a recycled Parisian subway ticket. So keep in mind to bring your used tickets and you´ll get 10% off if you shop at Paulie and me. Isn´t it a smart and quiet unique idea?!
A great hidden gem in the heart of Paris. A perfect concept store for you or if you look for something very special for your loved ones. I would definitely recommend you to come by just to say hi to Paulie and Lili, ca vaut le détour (it´s worth the trip)!
