“I don’t believe in God, but when I see Laetitia, I might change my mind.” -Fashion designer Vivienne Westwood
Laetitia Casta takes our breath away. Everything from her eyes and lips, to her legs and toes makes us wiggle with joy. She is as close to perfection as Mother Nature intended a woman to be. She is at her best when she strikes a pose and gives one of her trademark long, piercing stares. And at her best, she is unquestionably among the sexiest women alive.
Laetitia Casta was born on May 11, 1978 in a small town in Normandy. Raised by an advertising director father and an accountant mother, she grew up in a happy family with two siblings, Jean-Baptiste and Marie-Ange, moving regularly between Normandy and Corsica. It was on the beach of Lumio in Corsica that Laetitia Casta was discovered by photographer Frederic Cresseaux from the Madison agency. A couple of photo shoots later, she was out on the runways for the most established brands in fashion, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Givenchy, thanks to her Brigitte Bardot look. She is the face of many cosmetic and Fragrance brands such as L’Oréal, Dolce & Gabanna.
As early as 1996, Laetitia Casta appeared in Vogue Paris, in its September issue, photographed by Stéphane Marais. In 1998, the young model was designated as the Sexiest Woman Alive by Rolling Stone and in 2001 she became the new face of Marianne, the national emblem of France, following in the footsteps of Catherine Deneuve and Inès de la Fressange. In 2004, she appeared once again in Vogue Paris’ September issue, this time captured on the cover by David Sims.
But Laetitia Casta had another calling: acting. She debuted in 1999 as Falbala in Astérix et Obélix alongside Gérard Depardieu and Christian Clavier. After that, she regularly appeared in feature films and television shows, like The Blue Bicycle, Arbitrage in which she plays an artist having an affair with actor Richard Gere,Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life where she embodies marvelously Brigitte Bardot.
A mother of three children, Sahteen, Orlando and Athena, Laetitia Casta continues her career as model, muse, and actress.
